Intro

Beginning October 1, 2013, I’ll be traveling nearly 500 miles of Washington and Oregon on foot. The idea for a journey of this kind began percolating many months back while I was still abroad. For me, few things evoke greater elation than being out amongst creation. However, hiking and camping alone didn't seem to be fully validated without a cause. As a result, I've attached a fund raiser to this trip in the hope of generating supplementary income for two really amazing charities, Angel Tree and Toys for Tots. Both of these organizations oversee gift disbursement to needy children at Christmas time. You can check out their respective profiles by clicking the links attached to this blog.  I'd love it if you'd participate with me in this adventure from Long Beach, WA to Lewiston, ID. I'll be posting updates on Blogger as often as I can, so be sure to check it out from time-to-time.

A special note to anyone thinking about donating:

All options listed will provide you, the donor, with a registered 501 (3)(c) receipt for tax deductions. I have sent links out that will enable you to pledge; however, it should be noted that 'Razoo' specifies a 4.9% administration fee which applies to all donations they regrant.  Should you wish to make direct donations to the charity of your preference, transaction fees may be slightly less. However, please let me know if you make donations via this route, as I would like to keep a running total of the amounts pledged.
